Volvo XC90 SUV Gets Updates for 2016

2016 Volvo XC90

The flagship luxury SUV from Volvo, the XC90, has been redesigned from the ground up for the 2016 model year, and drivers in and around Manchester, MO will be blown away by the impressive engineering and features offered.

The seven-seat crossover provides luxury that is exceptionally elegant and understated, and considering it uses a brand-new vehicle platform, it’s likely indicative of what we can expect from other Volvo models moving forward.

The centerpiece is the vertically positioned nine-inch touchscreen control console, equipped with Sensus infotainment and connectivity services. Other interior features that bring luxury to Manchester, MO area streets include:

  • Genuine wood, carbon fiber, crystal glass, and leather interior accents, trim, and features
  • Multi-directional adjustable front seating, sliding second row, two-seat third row, all in theatre-seating style
  • Available built-in child booster seat
  • Standard Panoramic roof
  • Ignition switch knob

The 2016 Volvo XC90 is available with front or all-wheel-drive. The new engine is a supercharged and turbocharged four-cylinder, though a plug-in hybrid model will also be released. Its safety features, always above and beyond the competition, now also include automatic braking in an intersection if the driver attempts to turn into the path of an oncoming car, such as when turning left, which is one of the most common causes of collisions.

The list of what makes the all-new 2016 XC90 rise to the top can’t be fully discussed in just a blog post, so make sure to check out the Volvo XC90 model research page, or better yet, schedule a test drive with the new XC90 at our Manchester, MO area dealership. The 2016 Volvo XC90 starts at $43,950.
